ESG Governance & Accountability

ESG governance is critical because it ensures that sustainability is not treated as a separate initiative but integrated into core business strategy. Strong board oversight, clear accountability, and transparent reporting frameworks such as IFRS and SASB help organisations manage risks and build long-term value.

In my view, effective ESG governance also requires a cultural shift where leadership sets the tone for ethical behaviour and stakeholder engagement. Without proper governance structures, ESG efforts risk becoming superficial or inconsistent.

I can't agree more. It is the basis for not just only on ESG integration and alignment with business but also how company operates with integrity, and the respective measure in place to ensure company will have its risk managed.
