What real precautions can we use to eradicate all the plastics that are polluting the seas, rivers, and lakes, destroying most ecosystems around the world, and impacting the climate?

Instead of aiming to "eradicate all plastic", many experts recommend aiming for "zero plastic leakage into nature" by 2040, through combined efforts across:

Product redesign

Government policies

Waste infrastructure

Clean-up tech

Behavioral shifts

Wonder if another concept is repurposing plastics and disposables, like finding a way to repurpose melted down plastics into something useable in society... like how someone had the idea to make guiness bottles that can double as bricks for homes.

I believe there have been many efforts and ongoing research focused on repurposing, recycling, and disposing of plastic waste. Fingers crossed that these efforts will contribute to a cleaner environment and more eco-friendly products. Sharing a recent post titled "Scientists in Japan develop plastic that dissolves in seawater within hours" (link here), which I found very interesting. Happy reading!
