That’s a very relevant question, especially as many institutions are still building their ESG capabilities. In most cases, a phased approach is not only acceptable but necessary. What matters is demonstrating clear progress, strengthening governance, improving data quality, and gradually aligning with ISSB requirements. Full compliance will take time, and regulators generally recognise the need for capacity-building as organisations mature in their sustainability reporting.
